Program: FW Schumacher Live-In Treatment Services - Child and Youth Mental Health
Organization: North Eastern Ontario Family and Children's Services (NEOFACS)
Description of Services: Provides an 8 bed residential program for youth experiencing mental health issues for a period of 6 months * services provided are:
  • counselling
  • recreational activities
  • education
  • anger management
  • interpersonal problem solving
  • victim awareness
  • criminal thinking error
  • self esteem
  • social skill development
  • educational programming

In addition, 2 crisis beds are available for a 72 hour placement of children/youth who are in crisis such as homicidal, suicidal or dangerous behaviour

Eligibility - Population(s) Served: Youth 12-15 years of age experiencing emotional and/or behavioural difficulties
Age: All
Application: Call * children and youth may be referred by their parent(s)/caregiver(s) or by a professional working with them
