Description of Services: Provides permanent homes for children and youth who cannot remain with birth families:
  • assists birth mother in making informed choices and offers support before and after birth
  • conducts home studies on prospective adoptive families
  • offers support to individuals waiting to adopt a child and after the child joins the family
  • assists in locating non-identifying information with the Adoption Disclosure Register
  • assists with searches to contact a birth relative and offers support if a reunion is requested

    Application: Referrals are accepted from children/youth/parents/guardians seeking service as well as from physicians, school personnel and other members of the community.
