Description of Services: Companionship, respite care, and emotional support to people and their family/caregivers dealing with a life-threatening illness * bereavement support for anyone who has experienced the death of someone close * services can be provided at home, or in hospitals and long-term care homes
  • provides 24-hour palliative care by trained volunteers to individuals with life-threatening illnesses
  • provides psychological, emotional, social and spiritual support for individuals and their families
  • offers bereavement support to family members faced with the loss of a loved one
  • offers an extensive reference library that includes reading materials, videos, audio cassettes, CDs and pamphlets on topics related to palliative care
  • provides respite for people who have been caring for a loved one
  • educational outreach
  • advanced care planning

Bereavement Walking Group: Offered in the spring from May to October on Wednesdays 10am at the Stockey Centre
