Program: Sexual Assault Intervention For Living (SAIL)

Description of Services: Sexual Assault Intervention for Living (SAIL) provides individual and group therapy to women, trans, and non-binary survivors of sexual abuse/assault. Model of service is Intersectional Feminist Psychotherapy utilizing cognitive behavioural approaches and trauma intervention. Current clients can access Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) specific groups as stage four of their therapy.

Eligibility - Population(s) Served: Gender Diverse Only ; LGBTQ+ Only ; Women/Girls Only
Age: All
Application: Individuals are encouraged to self-refer. Support people may call to inquire about the program. Impacts of past sexual abuse must be the individual's primary presenting problem. Intake is done over the telephone and an optional resource package will be mailed while the individual is awaiting her initial appointment. Individuals will be advised of the 24-hour Sexual Assault Help Line (1-800-461-2929) available and invited to participate in the drop-in program if they wish. Drop-in program, helpline support, and Facebook page are available while waiting to access services.
