Description of Services: | The Manitoulin Crisis Response Program is available to individuals experiencing crisis (an unexpected event, such as a car accident, natural disaster, and job loss), feeling overwhelmed by a long-standing situation, and/ or having difficulty managing the symptoms of his/ her mental illness. The program is available to assess crisis situations, provide brief intervention and counselling, plan next steps and make referral recommendations to other service providers on behalf of the client. It uses a recovery based approach to assist the client to return to his or her previous level of functioning. The Manitoulin Crisis Response Program is an outreach service of the Health Science North Crisis program. | ||

Age: | 16 years and older | ||
Application: | Please call the local number for service during regular business hours. After hours, weekends, and statutory holidays please call the toll free number (Sudbury Crisis Service). After hours, OTN is available with physician referral only through the emergency department at Mindemoya and Little Current. | ||
